his focus on composition on what is made with/of versus discovery/critique seems vital to me, especially if we take TMorton seriously about the impossibility of drawing clean lines around units/systems (to fully model/reflect them) which is not to say that such works are arbitrary but is to say that they make manifest our manipulations of, contingent interests in, objects and the ways in which they afford or resist such effort/desires.
